How can I get my cat to stop urinating in the corner of the room right next to the litter box?

This is a female that is spayed. She doesnt always urinate in the corner, sometimes she goes in her litter box. When she does go in the box she doesnt cover it like most cats do. She gets out of the box and scratches on the bare floor like she is.
Ive tried different litter and then thought that maybe she didnt like litter at all. So I put another box without litter right next to the litter box with litter and she does go in that one alot. I have 2 other cats. Her and her son. They both have always had very weird bathroom habits. Her with her problem and her son will only pee in the toilet. He started that by himself. They both have a fixation with water. She will jump in the tub and if the water is running in the kitchen shes in it too. I took her to the doctor, put her on urinary trac food, put food where shes going on the wall. Help!!

Could be 1 of a few reasons. Have you any other cats, like recently acquried? It could be showing anger at you for bringing in another animal. When my wife and I had a daycare in our home, one of our cats starting peeing everywhere, especially where the kids played the most. Cats can be jealous!
Another reason could be that the litter box is too small. One of my cats will poo on the basement floor a few feet from the boxes....yes boxes - we have 3 set up, and I notice that the biggest one has the most "stuff" in it when I clean them out. Cats like a roomy bathroom same as people.
One other possibility is the cats age. The one I described earlier that misses the box is our oldest cat too. He is going to be 12 this year. I'm not sure if it is because he is losing his wit or what, just throwing that out there. Hope this helps!
