Needed items for a syrian hamster?
I know that plastic isn't good for hamsters, because they might chew through it. If plastic isn't good can I get a ceramic one? Like the one is this link:

And I'm not getting a cage, but im using a 10 gallon aquarium and I was wondering how much they weigh (in pounds). I was wondering because if I were to go and clean it out I don't want it to be too heavy. And if anyone out there has a tank instead of a cage what water bottle can i hang on it with a lid that looks like this:

will I have to cut out part of the mesh wire part to fit in the bottle?

First off they do have ceramic dishes in that size. Infact I have that exact one in the photo.
I work at Petland and we have all the products you're looking for. the ceramic dish as well as a water bottle hanger. You will not need to cut the mesh top as it hooks over the edge of the top of the aquarium. I can't find any pictures of the hanger online but an employee would know what you need.
10 gallon tanks aren't that heavy when empty. Why do you want to go with a tank instead? My personal experience and advice is that aquariums do not offer enough ventilation and start to smell pretty bad over time. I would reconsider buying a wire cage instead. Plastic isnt the best of them as they love to chew but they dont typically swallow the plastic, just spit it out. Also, supplying your hamster with plenty of chew sticks and treats should prevent them from chewing on the cage.
I would suggest going in to your local pet store with a list of items you need or have questions on. A sales associate should be willing to walk through the store with you and help you pick out exactly what you need.
