How do I cover a hole in my scarf that I knitted?
I'm new to knitting so this was my first time. Its around 10 ply wool and theres a few small holes. I was thinking I could use those studs, sort of like earrings were you put them through then secure them on the other side. Any suggestions?
It sounds like you're thinking of making the holes a design element. I like the idea. You could do it with buttons, beads, or anything else that can be stitched or pinned in place.
I would have taken the same yarn I knit with and try to work those holes closed if at all possible without destroying the pattern of the knit. If that's doable, your holes will disappear, but it depends on the pattern and on the yarn. Certain yarns (like worsted) will show more than others (like fun fur or other novelty yarn).
Heck, you can even make felt flowers to stitch over the holes and make the holes the center of the flower!
