Harness Purple
When I get the wires hooked up, the stereo light comes on for a sec but then the stereo wont come on.?
I hooked up the purple & green speeker wires on left harness but the grey and white wires are on the harness with the power supply. Is this right? When I hook up the power, The stereo light comes on for just a sec but goes out immediately. But then I still cant get the stereo to come on. I have tried and retried with no success, could it be a fuse?
If it were a fuse, the head unit wouldn't power on at all. Let me know what kind of car you have and i'll be able to get a full wiring diagram for you,
For the aftermarket wiring colors, the gray, green, white and purple are all for the speakers, the blue is the power antenna, the black is the ground, yellow is the constant power, and red is the switched power. If, your head unit has an illumination wire, it will usually be orange.
Just check the wiring and make sure it is all together right.
